AI tools are fully open

Use the tools, models, APIs, frameworks, and platforms that best help your team solve the challenge.

Who can participate

The event is open to developers, students, designers, technical builders, and anyone interested in working on practical AI-enabled solutions. You do not need to be an AI expert to participate. Curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to build are what matter.

Teams of 2 to 4

Register with your team by providing your teammates' information, including their email addresses.

If you don't have a team, you can register on your own and let us know. We will do our best to connect you with other participants looking for teammates.

How it works

  1. Register individually or with your team.
  2. Arrive ready to build on September 26.
  3. Receive the challenge statements at 8:00 AM.
  4. Collaborate with your team and develop your solution.
  5. Present your work to judges and the community.
  6. Celebrate the winners and connect with fellow participants.

At least one member of each winning team must be present at the awards ceremony to receive the prize.

For local businesses and organizations

Have a real problem you would like a team of programmers to work on?

Bring us a problem in your business and a team of software developers could spend a day building a working solution to it. At the end of the day, you will see what they built, talk directly with the team about putting it into use, and walk away knowing what AI can do for your business.

We are looking for challenges from Thunder Bay businesses. If your problem is selected, we will contact you to confirm the details, and your company will be featured as a challenge sponsor. No technical knowledge is required to submit, and you do not need to know what AI can or cannot do.

The form takes about three minutes.
